What happens after the first pickup
The closed deck gives you one card. Everything after that is grouping, not hope.

Count the requirement before the brand
Thirteen cards. Two sequences. One must be pure. Sets may use jokers. The empirecasino name does not add a fourteenth card. If a tutorial starts with a welcome bonus, close it.
Pickup, sort, meld, discard
Take the open discard only if it completes a group you can name in one breath. Park pure-sequence candidates on one side. Jokers wait. Discard the card that does the least work for you and for the opponent you can see.
A legal show has a visible skeleton
Group A is a pure run. Group B is a second sequence. Then sets. If a stranger cannot name those groups, the show is not ready. Illustrative hand: 4c 5c 7c plus a pretty joker set is still invalid.
Invalid show is usually a full count
No pure sequence, only one sequence, a two-card fragment, a leftover card. Interrupt before the button. Repeating the same invalid shape is not variance.
Questions on this topic
Can a joker finish a pure sequence?
No.
When do I drop instead of declare?
When the groups are not actually legal or the bound makes waiting more expensive than the priced drop.
Before, during, after, written as three rooms
Before: count cards in the physical world. Deal thirteen face up. Do not play for money. Name a pure sequence. If you cannot, you are not ready for a clock. During: the online turn clock is a constraint on the same naming job. After: the audit. Other seats may reject a joker placed in the alleged pure run. Accepting that rejection without a second theatrical declare is part of the path.
House-rule drift is why the topic here refuses to quote a single rupee penalty as if it were national law. Some rooms count an invalid show as 80. Some use a full remaining total. Some add extras for a wrong card count. The durable instruction is: an invalid show is priced as a disaster. Play as if it were.
Pickup from discard deserves its own paragraph because it is the most common unforced error after the first week. The open card is public. Taking it announces the group you are finishing. Take it only when the group is real. A maybe-set that still needs a second mate is not a reason to announce your shape.
Teaching someone else without sitting for them
If you are showing a relative the path, sit them at a paper deck, not at a deposit screen. Have them sort twice. Have them refuse a declare once on purpose. Then open the format ledger so they pick a clock. Then open the limiter so they write a ceiling. You are not a cashier and neither are they. The first-hand anatomy is a classroom. It is not a warm-up for a chase.
A slower pass over the same objects
Public helplines do not need the pure sequence. iCall 9152987821, Vandrevala 9999666555, NIMHANS and Gambling Therapy work without a brand password. Use them if the problem is harm. Use the on-site chat if the problem is a ticket. Use nothing if the problem is a lookalike file pretending to be the pure sequence.
Write a ceiling before you revisit the first pickup. Minutes and money in ink, not in a widget you will swipe away. If the clock you wrote has already ended, the first pickup can wait until tomorrow. Tomorrow may be a web seat. Tomorrow may be no seat. Both are adult outcomes.
A careful adult treats the named group as a stop, not as flavour. People skip the named group when they are angry about a previous hand. Anger is a chance outcome you cannot rewrite. The closed deck does not owe you a repair. the named group does not become optional because the evening got away from you. If the named group is missing, close the tab.
Compare the leftover card with the bound you already picked: Points, Deals or Pool. the leftover card does not replace the bound. A 201 pool still needs the leftover card. A six-deal set still needs the leftover card. A Points hand with a priced drop still needs the leftover card. Mixing them into one confused sit is how people lose the clock they wrote.

A paper drill you can finish in ten minutes
Deal thirteen cards face up on a table with no money. Name a pure sequence out loud. If you fail, draw one from the remainder as if it were closed. Name again. Do this for eight deals. You are training refusal, not luck. When you later meet a turn clock, the refusal is already a habit. Online rooms punish the same refusal faster, which is why the drill belongs in your hands first.
Then deal a ninth hand and force an invalid show on purpose. Say why it is invalid. No pure sequence, one sequence only, leftover card, joker in the alleged pure run. Hearing yourself name the fail makes the button less magical. That is the entire third pass. It does not need a brand. It does not need a deposit. It needs a deck and a mouth.
If you do not own cards, write thirteen ranks on scraps. The grammar does not care about ink quality. It cares that you can still say two sequences, one of them pure, before you ever press declare. After the drill, open the format ledger and pick a clock that matches the time you actually have. Then write a limiter. Then decide whether a disclosed start is even legal where you sit.
Clock and leftover, one more time
A leftover card at the turn clock is not a reason to declare. Discard and survive. The anatomy does not change because the timer is red. If you feel the urge to press show with a fragment in your hand, name the fragment out loud. Naming it usually stops the press. If it does not, the limiter is the next document, not another pickup.
Teaching a relative still happens at a paper deck. Eight named pure sequences and one deliberate invalid show remain the homework. After homework, pick a bound that matches the minutes they actually have. Do not pick Pool because it sounds serious. Serious and long are not the same.
The disclosed start, if it happens at all, happens after the leftover test, the bound pick, the legal frame, and the written ceiling. Skipping those four to practise the path inside a live room is how full-count penalties become the first lesson. This desk would rather you be bored with scraps of paper.

If the groups can be named, you may start
If they cannot, stay on this path.
